For those of you who were enjoying the first season of the Lost Lancastrian podcast you'll be glad to know that the wait for season two is almost over. I've been pulling together the research and starting to write the frameworks and scripts. The step out of pre-production is imminent. However this will give you a little insight into what's to come. So if you're interested in the crossing points of history, culture, literature and media keep on reading.
Season one of Lost Lancastrian made a mid season shift away from being a personal journal towards being audio essays. Season two is sticking to this shift but stepping up a gear. This season will revolve around common aspects of (mostly European) Folklore, Fairytales, Contemporary Fantasy, and Gothic Horror. What's more is this season will be available on the AJ Merron YouTube channel as full video essays! The episode titles are:
Why castles aren’t what you think
What’s the point of palaces?
Do you want to be a knight?
What’s your outlaw story?
Are dragons for riding?
How to save the doomed damsel
How to be a perfect Princess
Are you seeking a handsome Prince?
Who's the imagined King?
Could you be a Queen?
Keep your eyes peeled for the launch announcement. But if you really can't get your fix soon enough you might be interested in joining the Patreon membership and getting access to each video episode a week early along with behind the scenes videos breaking down the research and writing process and plenty of other stuff. All in return for you playing a part in keeping this going and opening the doors to future projects. I hope to see you there.
